When Barca Velha was bottled for the first time in 1952, it was clear to everyone, that this is an iconic wine. It is only bottled in special years, when the winemaker is convinced in all perspectives. Never a huge, massive wine, Barca Velha is always balanced and contains finesse and an enormous ageing potential.

Deep dark-red color. Spicy-complex bouquet with herbs in the background. Structured, complex palate with a noticeable fruity structure and chocolate. Long, precise aftertaste. The best Barca Velha, I have ever tasted. 19
